PhiLings Microneedling

Microneedling is a safe and effective skin regeneration and rejuvenation treatment that stimulates the production of collagen and it is a great solution for treating deeper wrinkles, healing severe acne and scars problems and enables better absorption of cosmetically active substances. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this treatment activates the skin's self-healing ability. The microneedling device opens thousands of microchannels on the surface of the skin, which prompt a natural response to microstimulants by skin increasing the production of collagen and new cells, and the active ingredients reach the deeper layers of the skin faster. As a result of the Microneedling treatment, the skin is renewed, new collagen and elastin fibers are produced on the treated surface, so as a result of the therapy we can rejuvenate for years.

Summary
Frequently asked questions
Why microneedling?
Microneedling is a motorised and more precise version to the traditional Derma Roller, the Dermapen works by piercing tiny needles into the treated skin area which results in collagen boost by renewing the skin cells through the body’s natural healing process. As the skin heals it increases skin collagen and elastin by plumping the area and reducing scars and pigmentation and leaving your skin with a smooth and healthy texture.
What is the difference between microneedling and dermaroller?
Unlike the Dermal Roller you can set the penetration depth of the needles from 0.2 – 2.5mm which puts you in control of the results you want to achieve.
You can also treat different areas at different depths to really tailor the treatment to your skin.
Dermapen can also reach more areas then the Derma Roller and being motorised leaves you with a more even treatment.
Better results are also achieved due the needles going straight up and down leaving neater more consistent micro tears.
The dermal roller rolls over the skin leaving larger uneven trenches which can lead to larger pores. See the video above for a clip explaining the difference.
What is the healing process for microneedling?
You will begin to see the results immediately after the treatment, your skin will be plump, smooth and radiant. However, depending on the skin concern, the results will take 3-4 weeks.
Is microneedling safe?
Yes, the treatment is completely safe. The dermapen treatment does not pierce the skins natural barrier, only penetrating into the epidermis and dermis to stimulate collagen production. The epidermis and dermis heals rapidly, usually in a matter of hours, and the skin should be completely back to normal within 24 to 48 hours.
How does microneedling work?
Dermapen Microneedling, is a motorised piston driven, more precise and improved version of the traditional Derma Roller. It uses 12 tiny ultra-thin surgical steel needles which go up and down thousands of times per second to create micro tears skin.
With topical anesthetic there is virtually no discomfort and with the tiny wounds healing rapidly so downtime is minimal—one day or even less.1
